Not impressed with Customer Service's failure to repond to me on a damaged item - Updated

They ignored me for 3 days until I posted a 1 star review but responded to me in 5 minutes after the post. They want me to ship back a leaking bottle in order to get a replacement (not sure how to do that). They won't pay from the return shipping. They state that they won't replace it because I did not buy the insurance. You have to buy insurance for them to send you a non-damaged product?

Don't order from these people!

It is now the third business day that I have not received any response from customer service concerning a damaged item. I sent them a email last Friday showing the damage. I attempted to use their chat (never got a response). I called their number and left a message.

The quality control in the shipping should have never allowed the bottle to be shipped. You can see from the photo that the cork was damaged in the bottle and the tequila spoiled.

I should not have to post a bad review for VS to respond to my issue. Hopefully, VS will respond to me. I guess I will dispute the charge with my credit card company if they don't respond to me within a week.

I was suspicious too

On a whim, I placed an online order for two bottles of midwinters night dram. After placing it I immediately had some regrets after spending more time in the website. Mainly that there is no physical address or clear phone number listed. I also didn't find any Google reviews or "reddit" reviews and the doubts that this was a scam website started increasing. I was also concerned that some of the reviews on this website were also very negative. Although I immediately received a confirmation email the next morning I wanted to call the store and at least get some reassurances! They had a phone number listed way down at the end of the online page and when I called a live person answered but they did not sound like store employees. I called multiple times and each time I get a different person but they all gave the same answer: we don't work at the store , we will just forward your message to them. Turns out the number takes you to an answering service that the store contracted! I requested a call back but my suspicions were growing that I was simply scammed. Well it turns out I was totally wrong. Two days later I received a phone call from Chris the store owner who educated me that my order was on its way ( I did receive a confirmation tracking number from UPS by then) and that they are a small team of two brothers and they contract with an answering service to take messages for them. I eventually received my package in a very nicely packaged and padded box! I am very satisfied and wanted to share my experience and elevate some of the concerns. I have no more reservations about this website

Don’t buy wine here

Ordered cases twice. Both times charged and never sent the orders. Had to contact them to refund my card.
Maybe liquor is different, but disappointed with their wine service

Scammers

Great Service

I will continue to use this company for my online purchases. When I received my order, there was a mix up and I did not receive what I originally ordered. I emailed the company with a photo of what I received. They acknowledge the mistake on their end and sent me a replacement bottle to make my order correct. I originally ordered two 750ml bottles of Buffalo Trace bourbon and one 750ml bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream. What I actually received was one 750ml bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon and two 750ml bottles of Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream. They contacted me and sent me a bottle of Buffalo Trace and told me to keep the extra bottle of Buffalo Cream. I was not expecting this, and would have been happy with just a price correction. Standup company, and I will continue to use them for hard to find liquor.

VS Liquor- My experience with them is really bad.

I was excited about the opportunity to order from VS Liquor, so I made my order. I received an email from VS Liquor stating that the item I wanted was no longer in stock and they would be sending me a refund. It has been 16 days (12 business days) since the cancellation of my order due to them not having it in stock. I'm not the type of person that will just complain but to me it is definitely bad business.

Unfortunately my states governor stopped us in Pennsylvania from purchasing online liquor so I can’t buy from them anymore.
I purchased rum from them that I haven’t seen anywhere so they have what you want.
I had a slight issue to start but it was quickly cleared up by the owner who called right away who turned out to be a very understanding and informed guy.
Now I just look at his site and tear up because I can’t order from them.
Five stars start to finish. They see it thru.
